Eagle Hunters of the Altai Mountains
In early July 2018, I was fortunate to travel to a remote area in Northwestern Mongolia, Bayan-Olgii, specifically to photograph the renowned Kazakh eagle hunters. After several hours driving into the Altai mountains on the rutted gravel roads, we reached our destination for the next two nights - a small family ger compound. The family had turned two of their gers (aka yurts) to our group for sleeping, and another for cooking and eating.

Our hostess -- making a local cheese. As you can see, there are no veggies here. The diet is primarily dairy and meat.
