Kapawi Eco Lodge with the Pachamama Alliance
From Ti'inkias we headed down the Bobonaza River to the much larger Pastaza River, and headed upstream toward the turn-off for Kapawi. As we neared the turn-off we encountered the famed freshwater pink dolphins -- unfortunately, no good photos. At Kapawi we enjoyed a couple of walks through primary rainforest, and a float down the river. Vibrant butterflies and birds abounded, and it was a special treat to watch the monkeys as they frolicked in the forest canopy. The stay ended with traditional face painting and blow-gun practice.
