Vendee Globe - At the start
Over 1000 boats were out on the water to watch the start of the Vendee Globe, and it was utter mayhem. Media and photo boats had to maneuver for position along with the other spectators, not ideal for getting a clear shot of the start. We were limited to the right side of the starting line which meant shooting into the sun. Happily, several of the boats tacked onto port and came our way. The boat driver did a remarkable job keeping us safe in the big waves and traffic -- but it was the most challenging of on-the-water shooting conditions.
